President / CEO
Bill Borgsmiller started his aviation career at the age of 12 by working part-time for a small 135 operation in Red Bluff, CA that flew Cessna 210s’ in support of Forrest Service operations. Over the next 6 years, Mr. Borgsmiller worked for and managed the small FBO at the Red Bluff Airport while working to obtain his Commercial Pilot’s License and A&P Certificate. After graduating High School, he attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Science and furthered his flight training with the addition of an ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI, and SES ratings. Upon completion of college, Mr. Borgsmiller moved to Redding, CA where he worked as a First Officer and Co-Captain for Sierra Pacific Industries aboard their King Air 200, Conquest II, and Hawker 1000. In 1998, he founded ACI Jet and spent two years working as a regional representative for Texaco aviation products covering Northern CA and Nevada from his home base in San Luis Obispo. Since leaving that position, he has worked full time within his business as the President and CEO. During his time with ACI Jet he has also graduated from Harvard Business School’s General Management program, obtained his rotorcraft license, and completed the NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) certification.
Executive Vice President
Olivier Leclercq was born and raised in Roubaix, France. He volunteered and enrolled with the French Paratrooper’s on his 17th birthday and later served as the youngest ever non-commissioned officer of a RPIMA Paratrooper French Marine’s Regiment. After the military, he joined Decathlon, which was founded by his father in 1976. During his time there, Olivier proved himself as an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur. In 1986 He initiated the production of numerous products and spent 12 years based in various Asian countries. Following that, he progressed with the company as a Board Member, Audit Committee President, Chairman of the Investment Strategic Committees, and ultimately served as the Group President. By the time Olivier left in 2012, he had grown Decathlon into the largest sporting good production and retail organization in the world, employing over 55,000 people in 20 countries with over a dozen specific brands.
He is succeeded at Decathlon by his younger brother Matthieu and has since then served as a Managing General Partner and Vice President of the Strategic Committee for the Mulliez family holdings which employs more than 520,000 people in various industries throughout 30+ countries. Mr. Leclercq joined ACI Jet as an investor and Executive Vice President in 2014. With his extensive background in the retail industry, he brings a deep knowledge of and passion for marketing and the customer experience to the company.
Nathan Ross, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
After graduating from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, California in 2001 with a BS in Public Accounting and a minor in Mathematics, Nathan joined the CPA firm of Barbich Longcrier Hooper & King. He provided accounting, tax planning, and tax preparation services for various multi-state and multinational corporations, as well as many smaller companies, individuals, estates and trusts. Nathan has his CPA license through the California Board of Accountancy and is an active member of the California Society of CPA’s. In 2003, Nathan joined ACI Jet as Controller and later was given the title of Chief Financial Officer in 2006. Nathan grew up with a fascination of aviation, and when offered the position with ACI Jet, saw it as an opportunity to once again be a part of the aviation community. Nathan has since become an expert in various financial, regulatory, and administrative aspects of the industry.
Vice President, FBOs & Facilities
Andrew began his aviation career in 2002 as a Line Service Technician working in Sacramento,California. While working the line, Andrew attended Sacramento City College, and in 2004 he received his Aircraft Maintenance Technician certificate with ratings to perform maintenance on aircraft airframes and aircraft powerplants. He then went on to graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, and with minors in Aviation Safety and Management. Andrew also has his private pilot certificate with an instrument rating. In 2005, Andrew joined ACI Jet as a Line Service Technician. Over the past seven years, Andrew has held positions such as ground service equipment manager and line service technician supervisor, and he is currently the Vice President of ACI Jet's three FBO locations. He is motivated by his passion for customer service, and he works to ensure that all of our client’s expectations are exceeded.
Vice President, Flight Operations
Kellee was raised in a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri, and began his aviation career at a young age when he was awarded the Anne Marie Morrissey scholarship to begin his flight training. Within a year of earning his private pilot’s license, he had attained his Instrument Rating, Commercial License, CFI, CFII, AGI, and MEI. Kellee began his professional career flying a Cessna Caravan, Piper Aerostar, and Cessna CitationJet in Northern Ohio for a small operator flying single-pilot on-demand freight and passengers. In 2004, Kellee was offered a Captain position flying a CitationJet2 with ACI Jet. In 2005 he was promoted to Captain on the Citation X. Kellee has been a Captain in every type of aircraft ACI Jet operates, including the Citation XLS, Gulfstream IV-SP, Challenger 604, and Gulfstream 650 which he currently flies as a line Captain, and FAA approved Check Pilot. In 2012, Kellee became part of the ACI Jet management team when he was promoted to the position of Chief Pilot. In February of 2015, Kellee was promoted to his current position of Vice President of Flight Operations.
Vice President, Aircraft Maintenance
As one of the first Aircraft Technicians to join ACI Jet, David Jensen has been serving in various maintenance leadership roles for the company over the past decade before assuming his current role as ACI Jet's Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance. A Central Coast native, Dave found a love for aviation very early in life. Immediately after high school Dave joined the United States Air Force as a flying crew chief on KC10’s. During his time in the Air Force Dave gained extensive knowledge and experience maintaining aircraft and leading teams in very diverse locations and high pressure situations. After the Air Force, Dave joined ACI Jet as a Maintenance Technician where he put his training to work and was quickly promoted to Shop Supervisor. Over the next 8 years Dave assisted in developing the maintenance department into an FAA certified Part 145 Repair Station with a staff of highly qualified, factory trained technicians. During this time Dave was promoted to ACI Jet’s Director of Maintenance where he used his industry experience to help expand ACI Jet's charter fleet to 12 aircraft, 5 of which are large cabin. In 2015 Dave was promoted to Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance where he oversees all aspects of maintenance for both the Part 135 charter certificate and the Part 145 Repair Station.
Director of Maintenance
Rob was born and raised near Chicago, in Crown Point, Indiana. He grew up with his grandfather working at his local airport, and had always had an interest in aviation. Rob attended Vincennes University and obtained his Private, Commercial, Instrument and CFI ratings. From there he attended Purdue University and received a BS in Aeronautical Engineering Technology and A&P Certificate. While he still loved flying, aircraft maintenance was found to be his passion. He began his career working on business jets and has been fortunate to have a great deal of experience working with Rolls Royce, GE and Republic Airways Holdings. While he has a strong background in Quality Assurance, he has held various positions as Senior Instructor and a Powerplant Engineer for Rolls-Royce, Hamilton Sundstrand and GE engines. Most recently he worked for L-3 Communications Flight International as Director of Maintenance located in Newport News, Virginia. They operated a fleet of Learjet 35/36 aircraft. Number one priority is the Quality and Safety of the aircraft for our passengers and crew. Rob became a part of the ACI Management team in December 2015 as the Director of Maintenance for the Part 135 Fleet.
Garrett is a San Luis Obispo, California Native. At the age of 19, his professional flying career began at US Airways Express, flying 70 seat airliners. Always possessing the desire to work in business aviation, in 2010 ACI Jet presented him that opportunity. Garrett was initially hired as a Citation XLS First Officer before progressing to Captain positions in the Citation XLS and Challenger 604. He has served as Senior Captain on the Challenger 604 and was selected for his current role as Chief Pilot in 2016. His desire for continuous improvement and love of knowledge transfer have served him well in his personal life, as well as transferring to his work at ACI Jet.
General Manager, FBO San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Oceano
Luke started his aviation career in the Navy while serving on the flight deck onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and the USS Abraham Lincoln. After his service, Luke attended California State University, Fresno. Luke served as the President of the Student Veterans Organization and continued his aviation career as a civilian contracted plane captain with VFA-125 at the Naval Air Station Lemoore. Luke relocated to the central coast with his wife Kaitlin and started his career at ACI Jet in 2012. During his first two years at ACI Jet, Luke completed an MBA program and was quickly promoted to General Manager of ACI Jet San Luis Obispo. In addition to handling all GA and Business Aviation at San Luis Obispo, Luke has been critical in the expansion of airlines services of Alaska and United Airlines. Currently, Luke is operating the company's three Central Coast locations and overseeing the construction of a new $16 Million dollar facility in San Luis Obispo, which will soon be the most modern FBO in the country.
General Manager, FBO Orange County
Growing up Joe has moved all across the country attending 11 schools in 12 grades. No stranger to a changing environment Joe Daichendt led real estate firm Theory R Properties as the CEO and grew it from $30M to $150M in assets within the first ten years. As a licensed broker, Joe personally transacted $100M and managed over $300M in transactions. He also co-founded Howie’s Game Shack which owns and operates the largest game centers in North America. Most notably, Joe was the CEO of Southwest Jet Center. After helping acquire the struggling business, Joe immediately went to work hiring new team members, bringing in additional equipment and conducting a full remodel of the facility. Within months capacity was increased leading to additional airport tenants with increased revenue for the City of Scottsdale and the State of Arizona. Southwest Jet Center is recognized as portrait turnaround in a very short time. In all ventures to date, Joe brought record profits and business growth through sales and strong relationships. Joe spends much of his free time flying, holding a type rating in the Citation Mustang with 2,000 hours as pilot in command. Passionate about Aviation and Customer Service, as General Manager in Orange County Joe is leading ACI Jet's team for a change for a turnaround at Orange County Airport.
Executive Travel Director
Trevor Totman was born and raised in Orange County, California. After moving to California’s Central Coast in 2001 to pursue his degree in Management Information Systems at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he was approached 2003 by ACI Jet and offered the opportunity to run their newly formed dispatch department. Having spent the previous four years working in customer service, Trevor brought both a technical and service oriented approach for the budding department. Utilizing his technical background Trevor setup, implemented, and operated scheduling software that, to this day, is essential to ACI Jet’s day to day operations. Additionally, Trevor’s exceptional customer service skills assisted in, and was an integral part of, building and developing ACI Jet’s client base and reputation as an industry leader in service. In 2007, Trevor further advanced his aviation knowledge by becoming a licensed FAA Dispatcher. After managing ACI Jet’s dispatch department for twelve years, successfully improving the department’s efficiency and long term sustainability; Trevor has once again taken on a new challenge in the role of Executive Travel Director for ACI Jet. Trevor’s primary focus is ensuring that ACI Jet’s Owners and clients receive the unique, and unparalleled private aviation experiences that ACI Jet is known for.
Executive Travel Director
Born and raised in California Charles, the son of a navy pilot, has always been interested in aviation. He began his aviation career working on the Apache longbow program for the US army. While serving all over the world, Charles received his Aircraft Maintenance Technician certificate with ratings to perform maintenance on aircraft airframes and aircraft powerplants. He then went on to graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, with minors in Aviation Safety and Management. When finished with his Army contract Charles used his GI bill to attend St. Marys College to pursue an MBA. After grad school Charles joined Virgin galactic on their spaceship program in Mojave California. Shortly after completion of the Virgin project in 2016 Charles moved to the central coast to work for ACI Jet as Executive Travel Director.
Director of Safety and Human Resources
Ryan Andrews joined ACI Jet in May 2014 as Safety & Compliance Officer. Having spent five years in chemical manufacturing, supporting the Aviation and Aerospace Industries, Ryan brings his quality management and legal expertise to the ACI Jet team. Ryan is currently acting as the Director of Safety & Human Resources. Originally from Southern California, and having graduated from Cal Poly State University San Luis Obispo, Ryan loves the opportunity to work and live in a community that he loves and values. Ryan is passionate about aviation and believes that excellent operations are driven by a strong and supported company culture.
