Press Release: Hillsboro Aviation

Hillsboro Aero Academy has partnered with ACI Jet on a Pilot Pathway Program to provide a path to employment in the charter industry for Hillsboro Aero Academy’s qualified pilots. ACI Jet is a well-known charter operator founded in 1998 with a fleet of 12 private jet aircraft and two corporate jet centers. Due to ACI Jet’s reputation and operations, the company was the perfect partner for Hillsboro Aero Academy for this program.

This pathway program is unique in the fact that it includes the ACI Jet and Hillsboro Aero Academy Corporate Pilot Pathway Scholarships to help support pilots looking to transition to employment opportunities in the charter industry.

“The existence of this scholarship program is ground breaking. I trust it will not only help ACI Jet hire the best pilots but also attract more great people into our industry. I believe scholarships from forward-thinking operators like ACI Jet will be the future of how flight training is funded in the US,” said Jon Hay, Hillsboro Aero Academy’s President and CEO.

There are two separate scholarship opportunities designed to give recipients the opportunity to learn more about the charter industry and also offer an incentive to build the hours needed to transition to this career path. The scholarships offer incentives from $1000 to $10,000.

“ACI Jet is thrilled to offer the possibility of a new and exciting career path for some of Hillsboro Aero Academy’s students. We hope these scholarships will generate interest and provide some much needed funding to talented aviators considering a career in corporate aviation,” said William Borgsmiller, ACI Jet President/CEO.
