In the heart of California, ACI Jet soared to new heights over the past year, leaving an indelible mark on the community. Despite various challenges that we all have faced, ACI Jet remained steadfast in giving back to its local communities. Let’s take a closer look at the remarkable journey of ACI in 2023.
Royal Air Force Partnership
Bringing the Royal Air Force (RAF) training missions to Paso Robles Airport marked a significant milestone. RAF training operations not only contribute over $700,000 to the Paso Robles economy each mission, but also offered the community a rare glimpse into RAF’s impressive C-130 Hercules and A400M aircraft during an open house hosted by ACI Jet this year.
In addition to the Royal Air Force, ACI Jet supported dozens of military training missions throughout the year from all three of its operating locations.
Estrella Warbirds Sponsorships
ACI Jet showcased its commitment to nurturing aviation enthusiasm and education by actively supporting the Estrella Warbirds Museum’s Youth Aviation Club fundraiser during Paso Robles Airport’s 50th Anniversary Airport Day. Donating a Cessna 340 flight contributed significantly to the fundraiser’s success by raising over $700 at the event. Additionally, the company dedicated its 12 Days of Christmas donation drive entirely to the Estrella Youth Aviation Club, fully funding a $2,500 student scholarship.
Community Engagement in San Luis Obispo and Beyond
In San Luis Obispo, ACI Jet’s philanthropic efforts raised over $1,000 worth of toys for Toys for Tots, spreading joy during the holiday season. The company opened its doors throughout the year to those helping others, providing complimentary meeting spaces for organizations such as United Way, the 99’s, local school boards, and hosting events like an Eagle Scout Court of Honor.
Furthermore, ACI Jet’s engagement with educational institutions remained a notable priority, with tours provided to hundreds of students from various schools. These included 375 students from the Grizzly Youth Academy in addition to numerous local middle and high school students.
Cuesta College Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Program Partnership
ACI Jet’s partnership with Cuesta College and SLO County launched SLO County’s inaugural AMT program on January 17, 2023. Despite the challenges of a new program, the first cohort of students are thriving and on track to earn their FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification in August of 2024. The program’s success with high enrollment and retention rates resulted in the planned launch of a second cohort in January 2024 providing more high-wage career opportunities for SLO County residents.
Outreach Beyond Boundaries
ACI Jet’s 2023 activities included outreach efforts in Orange County. From hosting charitable events benefitting causes like Rett Syndrome to organizing educational tours for various aviation enthusiasts and schools, ACI Jet was an active member of the Orange County community.
