The San Luis Jet Center (SLJC) and Aviation Consultants Inc (ACI), located in San Luis Obispo, California (KSBP), are proud to announce that design work is in the final phase and construction of a new 79,934 square-foot corporate jet center is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2009. The new facility will feature a two-story, 24,734-square-foot jet center offering a variety of services to both corporate and private aircraft users. Two new hangers totaling 55,200-square feet will house ACI Jet Solutions, the maintenance facility which provides service to ACI’s five Citation Excels and two Citation X’s, as well as other local and transient Citation aircraft.
To reflect the companies’ commitment to the natural environment and sustainability, the new facility will incorporate numerous energy saving technologies that utilize ambient lighting and natural airflow to minimize the amount of energy necessary to light, heat, and cool the building. It will also be equipped with an 85KVA solar panel installation that will supply nearly all of its electrical requirements.
The San Luis Jet Center is the premier fixed base operator for the Central Coast of California. Because of the Jet Center’s location (only 2,000nm from Hawaii), it also serves as an ideal hop off point for aircraft bound for Hawaii and other Pacific Rim destinations.
